Held at the gallery in 2007, this exhibition reveals 15 paintings of the timeless couple McDermott & McGough, who revive the America of 1950’s and 1960’s, by focusing on women figures and on images issued from Hollywood movies or from cartoons, of which they take over the iconography.
These paintings remind us that, behind the appearance of an ideal world, despair, loneliness and incest hide.
